An outdoor wedding, a marquee, a barbecue and dogs on the guest list. Hannah and Daniel’s wedding at The Glade in Rosliston had all the ingredients for a lovely day outside on 19th September.
There’s something appealing about keeping a wedding like this. Space to gather, food that gets people talking and your favourite people around you. A marquee gives everyone a place to come together while still feeling part of the outdoors. And a barbecue? Always a good reason to go back for seconds.
Then there were the dogs. I’m very much in favour of including them in your wedding if the setting allows it. They’re part of the family, even if their priorities are less “witness this important commitment” and more “investigate the barbecue”.
For me, wedding photography is about the people and the day they’ve chosen to have. The setting matters, but so do the smaller things: who you bring along, how you spend your time and what makes it feel like yours.
Hannah and Daniel chose an outdoor celebration at The Glade, with a marquee, barbecue food and their dogs involved. A wedding doesn’t need to be complicated to feel personal.
